A hybrid solar power plant combining photovoltaic generation with battery storage and a grid or generator connection, supplying a site continuously rather than only while the sun is up.
Hybrid plants are frequently installed at water and waste water treatment sites, where pumping and aeration run continuously and the grid is unreliable, so a plant that covers daytime load from solar and holds the evening on battery cuts both diesel cost and downtime. Hybrid Solar System (Solar+Grid+Battery):
These systems are used at locations where constant power is maintained through use with Grid (Electricity Connection). DC power generated by the solar panels is fed to the Inverter and AC power is obtained as output. During the daytime the solar modules generate solar electricity and keep feeding the Inverter. Grid-connected PV systems are designed to operate in parallel with and interconnected with the electric utility grid. The primary component in grid-connected PV systems is the inverter.
