Quick answer: These are coated-product lines for nuggets, burger patties, popcorn chicken, onion and squid rings, breaded shrimp and chicken wings, built from forming, battering, breading and frying stages on 200 to 600 mm belts. Choose by the product you will make, belt width and hourly capacity (from about 100 up to 1000 kg/h), and how far down the line you need to go, up to frying and freezing.

How to choose Fast Food Processing Line

Begin with the product. Formed products such as nuggets and patties need a former at the head of the line, as in the Fast Food Chicken Nuggets Line or the Fast Food Chicken Burger Line. Whole-muscle and cut products, such as wings, shrimp and rings, skip forming and go straight to battering and breading, as in the Fast Food Crispy Chicken Leg Wing, Fast Food Butterfly Breaded Shrimp and Fast Food Capacity Fried Onion Rings lines.

Then size the belt. A 200 mm belt such as the Fast Food Chicken Nuggets Assembly Line (listed at about 2100 pieces per hour or 50 to 100 kg/h) suits a pilot plant, central kitchen or restaurant supplier. Belts of 300 mm, for example the Fast Food Automatic Fish Potato Chicken Nuggets line at 200 to 300 kg/h, suit small factories. 400 and 600 mm belts reach 300 to 1000 kg/h for industrial output. Finally decide the coating: a thin pre-dust, a tempura-style thick batter, or crumb breading, as each needs a different applicator, and whether you want pre-frying and freezing included in the line.

Specifications and standards

Compare belt width, belt speed range (3 to 15 m/min on many lines here), line capacity in kg/h or pieces per hour, product thickness and size range for formers, input height (950 to 1050 mm on several lines, which matters when linking to existing equipment), electrical supply (380 V or 415 V three-phase listed) and installed power. Some listings show fields out of order, so confirm each figure with us for the model you select.

Ask for food-grade stainless steel on frames and contact parts, food-grade belts, and open designs that can be washed down. For export products, your buyers will typically require HACCP-based controls, so ask how each stage supports cleaning and inspection. Request batter and breading pickup tests on your product, and if frying is included, details of oil temperature control and oil filtration.

Planning a complete set-up

A complete coated-product plant runs in sequence: meat preparation (grinding, mixing, marinating), forming or cutting, pre-dusting, battering, breading, pre-frying, quick freezing, then packing and cold storage. Each stage must match the line capacity, with the freezer and cold store often the largest investment. Plan separate raw and cooked zones, temperature-controlled preparation rooms, floor drainage, extraction above the fryer, and a three-phase supply sized for fryer and freezer loads.

Match belt widths across stages so product transfers cleanly, and keep the line in one straight run where possible. At commissioning, set batter viscosity, breading coverage and fry times on your recipes, and measure coating pickup and cooking yield. Train operators on daily strip-down cleaning, since batter and crumb residues build up quickly, and on fryer oil management and safety.

Who buys this range

Buyers include poultry and seafood processors adding value to raw meat, frozen food manufacturers supplying supermarkets and quick-service restaurants, central kitchens for restaurant chains, hotel and airline caterers, and smaller entrepreneurs starting with a 200 or 300 mm line for local markets.

Integrated poultry companies often buy a complete line with freezing as a single project, while smaller firms buy forming and coating stages first and fry in batch fryers until volume justifies a continuous fryer.

Coating pickup and yield

In coated products, batter and breading add weight and cost less per kilogram than meat, so coating pickup directly affects margin and must be controlled. Pickup depends on batter viscosity, breading particle size, belt speed and how evenly the applicator coats each piece. Measure the weight of product before and after coating at intervals, adjust settings to stay within your target, and ensure your labelling reflects the actual meat content where regulations require it.

Formed versus whole-muscle products

Formed nuggets and patties use ground or minced meat pressed into shapes, giving uniform size, efficient use of trimmings and consistent cooking. Whole-muscle products like wings, fillet strips and shrimp have higher perceived value but vary in size, which makes coating and frying less uniform. Many plants run both, so choose a line where the former can be bypassed and the batter and breading stages accept irregular pieces.

Freezing and cold chain

Most fast food products are pre-fried and frozen so the end user only finishes cooking. A spiral or tunnel quick freezer after the fryer protects texture and food safety, and frozen storage and refrigerated transport must follow. Size the freezer to the full line capacity, and check your power supply and cold store capacity before choosing line throughput, since freezing is often the constraint rather than forming or coating.

Frequently asked questions

Can one line make both nuggets and chicken wings?

Yes, if the line has a former that can be bypassed and the batter and breading stages handle irregular pieces. Belt width and applicator types must suit both. Tell us all products you plan so we can configure the line accordingly.

Which belt width should I choose?

Width sets capacity. A 200 mm belt is suited to pilot or small-scale work, 300 mm to small factories at around 100 to 300 kg/h, and 400 to 600 mm to industrial production up to about 1000 kg/h. Choose based on realistic sales volume and raw material supply.

Is a fryer and freezer included?

It depends on the configuration ordered. Some lines end after breading, others include continuous pre-frying and quick freezing. Confirm the scope in the quotation and allow for cold storage space.

Can the forming machine make different shapes?

Formers produce different shapes such as round, heart, animal and patty by changing the mould plate. Thickness is adjustable within the machine's range. Specify the shapes and sizes you need so moulds can be supplied.

Can I use my own batter and breading recipe?

Yes. The applicators are designed for a range of batter viscosities and crumb sizes. Send us your recipe details or samples so settings can be tested, particularly for very thin tempura batter or very coarse crumbs.
