The Horizontal Plastic Cup Fill and Seal Machines take preformed cups from a magazine, fill them volumetrically and heat-seal a lid film or die-cut lid. This is the more flexible route when you buy cups from a supplier, want to change cup shapes easily or run moderate volumes. The Plastic Cup Form Fill and Seal Machines preheat plastic sheet, thermoform the cups, fill, seal, cool and cut them apart in one machine. Check whether cup cleaning, ultraviolet sterilisation of cups or lids, date coding and automatic output stacking are included.

Ask for stainless steel on all product-contact parts, cleaning-in-place connections or easy strip-down of the filler, and guarding with interlocks. For dairy, request information on hygienic design and how the filling area is protected, since filling yogurt and milk drinks in a clean environment affects shelf life. Request seal integrity tests on filled cups, including inversion or squeeze tests, during the factory trial.
