The specification that matters now is whether the machine handles low-profile and run-flat tyres, because those have stiff sidewalls that an older changer cannot seat without damaging the tyre or the rim, and alloy rims are easily marked. A leverless or assist-arm head addresses both. Rim diameter range should cover the largest wheels you see.
