A peanut and almond kernel grading machine that sorts shelled kernels into size bands, so each band can be packed to a stated specification or sent to the process stage that suits it.

Grading after shelling does two jobs. It creates the uniform lots that commercial buyers specify, and it prepares the feed for anything that follows, because slicing, slivering, blanching and roasting all work better on a narrow size range than on a mixture. Grading is normally done with a stack of calibrated screens, with the band limits set to the standard your market uses rather than a generic split.
