A heat pump vegetable dryer machine drying vegetables, fruit, herbs and spices using heat pump technology, which recovers heat from the extracted moist air rather than exhausting it.

The heat pump argument is energy cost. A conventional hot air dryer throws away the heat in its exhaust continuously, while a heat pump recovers much of it, typically cutting energy use substantially over a long drying cycle. It also dries at lower temperature, which retains colour, aroma and vitamin content better, and that matters for product price. Drying is slower as a result.
