Agro Elevator covers the vertical and inclined conveying that links the stages of a mill or processing plant: bucket elevators, screw conveyors, belt conveyors and chain conveyors, with the inlet, outlet and drive arrangements to suit. Conveying is the part of a plant costed last and the part that most often decides whether the plant runs as a line or as a set of machines with people carrying buckets between them.
Capacity has to exceed the stage it feeds rather than match it, because a conveyor running at its limit backs up and stops the machine behind it. Gentle handling matters for anything fragile, since bucket elevators handling milled rice can break grain that survived the mill intact, and the drop height at the discharge is often the culprit. Dust containment is the other consideration where grain and flour are conveyed.
Conveying equipment is quoted inside mill and plant tenders and separately for extensions and refurbishments, by food reserve and marketing boards, agriculture ministries, state and co-operative mills, warehouse and storage corporations, food corporations, and agro-industrial projects backed by development bank and donor funding. We quote to a layout or line list and provide capacity calculations, material and drive specifications, origin and warranty terms, priced spares lists and inspection arrangements.
Send us your plant layout, the material and the capacity each run must carry, and we will specify the conveying and quote it.
