Agro Hammer Mill covers impact grinding mills for grain, pulses, cassava, maize, spices and feed ingredients, reducing material to a controlled fineness by beating it against a screen with swinging hammers. Particle size is set by screen selection rather than by the machine, so one mill covers a range of products and finenesses with a screen change, which is what makes it the most generally useful mill in a village or small industrial setting.
Heat is the practical limitation. Grinding generates it, and heat damages the volatile aromatics in spices and softens anything carrying fat or sugar, so those materials are run in shorter passes or with cooling. Screen and hammer wear is the running cost, and hammer hardness is specified against the abrasiveness of the material: cassava and maize with grit in it consume hammers far faster than clean grain does.
Hammer mills are bought in very large quantities through tenders and distribution programmes, by agriculture ministries, food reserve boards, rural enterprise and youth schemes, co-operatives and farmer producer organisations, women's processing groups, vocational training institutes, and rural development and food security projects financed by development banks and agricultural funds. Quantity pricing is quoted against the specification and supported by throughput data by material, screen and hammer pricing, origin and warranty terms and inspection arrangements.
Tell us your material, your target fineness and your throughput, and we will specify the mill and its screen set and quote it.
