Army Uniform covers service dress, combat dress and working uniform for armed forces, police, paramilitary and security organisations, produced to a customer's own pattern, colour, camouflage print and insignia requirements rather than from a fixed catalogue.
Uniform procurement is mostly a question of consistency and repeatability. A unit re-ordering next year needs the same shade, the same cut and the same durability as this year's issue, and that depends on fabric sourcing and pattern control rather than on the garment design itself. Fabric weight should be matched to climate, since a uniform specified for a temperate posting is wrong for a tropical one and will either be unbearable or wear out early. Colour fastness after repeated laundering is the specification point most often omitted and most often complained about.
Uniforms are tendered in very large lots by defence ministries and procurement directorates, police and paramilitary services, prison and correctional services, border and customs agencies, civil defence and fire services, cadet and training organisations, and security sector programmes financed by bilateral and international funds. We cost the quantity against the specification as issued and enclose fabric specifications and test reports where required, pattern and sample approval, size distribution schedules, make and origin declarations, delivery schedules by location and pre-shipment inspection.
Send us your pattern or a sample garment, your fabric specification, size breakdown and quantity, and we will quote on volume.
