Potato Chips Machine covers crisp and French fry production equipment: potato washers and abrasive peelers, slicers and strip cutters, blanchers, centrifugal dewatering machines, continuous and batch fryers with oil filtration, de-oiling units, seasoning drums, and freezing and packing for frozen fries. Blanching is the stage most often cut from a budget line and should not be, since it removes surface starch and deactivates the enzymes that cause uneven browning and sticking in the fryer.
Dewatering between blanching and frying matters just as much. Water carried into hot oil boils violently, degrades the oil, lengthens frying time and increases the oil absorbed into the product, so a spin dryer ahead of the fryer protects both product quality and the most expensive consumable in the line. Peeling loss is the other figure to watch, because every point of potato removed as peel comes off the margin. Bulk buyers are quoted on volume.
Potato processing lines are often tendered or funded, through agricultural ministries, potato value chain and post-harvest loss programmes, co-operative and farmer producer organisations, SME schemes and agro-industrial projects financed by development banks. We quote against the specification and supply the usual bid attachments: itemised technical offers, utility and oil consumption figures, origin and warranty declarations, priced spares lists, commissioning and training scope and inspection arrangements.
Tell us whether you are producing crisps, fresh fries or frozen par-fried fries, and your target output, and we will lay out the line.
