An aseptic high speed straw applicator attaching drinking straws to filled aseptic cartons at line speed, downstream of the filler and before case packing.

The straw applicator is a small machine that stops a whole line when it misfeeds, which is why its reliability matters out of proportion to its cost. Straw type, wrapping and attachment position all have to match the carton and the glue system, and a change in straw supplier is a common cause of trouble.
