An artificial nutrition rice extruder producing fortified reconstituted rice grains, formed from rice flour with added vitamins and minerals and shaped to resemble natural rice.
Fortified kernels are blended with ordinary rice at a low ratio, which allows a whole population's staple to be fortified without changing how people cook or what they buy. It is used in government and donor nutrition programmes in a number of the markets we supply. Grain shape and size are set by the die to match the local rice variety.
