Bugles chips snacks food flavors machines for applying seasoning to fried bugles and similar shaped snacks, covering oil spray and powder dosing so the flavour is carried onto the surface evenly.

Seasoning is where a snack either tastes like the sample or does not. Powder will not stick to a dry snack, so oil is sprayed first at a controlled rate and the powder is dosed in proportion to the product flow rather than at a fixed rate. Under-dosing gives bland product; over-dosing wastes expensive seasoning and leaves loose powder in the bag.
