Construction 160HP Swamp Bulldozers
A swamp dozer differs from a standard crawler in one respect that governs everything else: the tracks are much wider, so the machine's weight is spread over a far larger footprint and ground pressure falls sharply. That is what lets it work on paddy, peat, reclaimed land, tailings and soft river margins where a standard dozer would sink and have to be recovered. At 160 HP the machine has the power for genuine bulk work rather than light land forming. The trade-off is that wide tracks reduce manoeuvrability and wear faster on abrasive ground, so the track width should be matched to the actual bearing capacity of the site, not simply specified as wide as possible. We build these to the buyer's requirement. State the ground conditions and the ground pressure the contract allows, and the undercarriage, blade and cab are configured to suit.
