Construction 180 Rotary Drilling Rigs
An 18 metre aerial working vehicle reaches mid-rise building facades, larger signage and high-mast lighting. At this height stability becomes the governing constraint, so outrigger spread and the ground beneath it matter as much as the boom. A machine that cannot deploy its outriggers fully will have its load chart reduced accordingly, which is why the available footprint at typical work sites should be stated with the enquiry.
An 18,000 litre sewage vacuum suction truck is the largest class in ordinary service, used for treatment works, industrial sites and bulk transfer where the vehicle is effectively a mobile tanker with a vacuum system. Capacity of this order carries a stability consideration: eighteen tonnes of moving liquid needs proper baffling and an axle configuration rated for it. Tank, chassis and vacuum system are specified as one package against the duty.
This roller is offered at 18, 20, 22 and 26 tonnes with frequency and amplitude modulation. Variable frequency and amplitude is the significant feature: rather than switching between two fixed settings, the machine adjusts its vibration to the stiffness of the layer beneath it. That matters on mixed fill, where a setting that compacts one section will over-compact and loosen the next. Weight class and control configuration are specified at order and built to the tender schedule.
A 180 HP motor grader is specified for heavy formation and for mine haul road maintenance, where the machine works continuously in coarse material and the blade is loaded hard for long passes. Duty of that kind is hard on the circle and the moldboard rather than on the engine, so the wear specification is where the machine is won or lost: circle wear inserts, blade thickness, and cutting edge material all decide what the grader costs to keep working over a year. Build is to the buyer's requirement, including against a tender technical annexure where one is issued.
At 180 HP the swamp dozer moves into heavy bulk work on ground that will not carry a conventional machine. The wide-track undercarriage keeps ground pressure low across peat, paddy, tailings and reclaimed land, while the power class allows sustained pushing rather than intermittent light forming. The heavier the machine, the more the track width has to be matched properly to the bearing capacity of the site. Specifying tracks wider than the ground actually needs costs manoeuvrability and undercarriage life for no gain. Build is to the buyer's own requirement, quoted and manufactured against the tender schedule where one is issued.
The 180 HP swamp dozer in mechanical drive is specified where the work is heavy, the ground is soft and the support is thin. Mechanical transmission keeps the drivetrain simple enough to maintain with the owner's own fitters, which matters on reclamation and wetland contracts that are usually a long way from a service centre. The wide-track undercarriage is what allows the machine to operate at all on peat, paddy and soft fill, by spreading its weight far enough to stay above the bearing limit of the surface. Undercarriage, blade, cab and compliance are configured at order and manufactured to the buyer's specification.
A forestry dozer is a crawler machine protected for work among standing and felled timber. The difference from a standard dozer is in what is added rather than what it pushes: guarding over the cab and radiator, protection for cylinders and lines, sealing against debris, and commonly a winch for extracting timber and recovering the machine. At 180 HP in mechanical drive it is specified for land clearing, forest road formation and skidding support, where the machine works away from any service network and has to be repairable in place. Guarding package, winch, blade and cab are all built to the buyer's requirement rather than supplied to a single fixed forestry build.
