The 4 tonne wheel loader is the general contracting size: big enough to feed a concrete batching plant or load a tipper efficiently, small enough to work inside a yard and move between sites without special transport. Loaders in this class spend most of their life on one repetitive cycle, so the specification that matters is the one that shortens it. Bucket size, dump height against the truck or hopper being loaded, and tyre choice for the surface all decide cycle time far more than engine power does. Build is to the buyer's own requirement, including against a tender annexure where one is issued.
