The 18 tonne single drum roller is a heavy earthworks machine, used where lift thicknesses are generous and the programme is measured in cubic metres compacted per shift rather than in areas finished. At this weight the machine's own mass does much of the work and vibration does the rest, so amplitude selection matters: too much on a thin lift over a hard base simply bounces the drum. Mechanical drive and the full configuration are built to the buyer's schedule.
