Pet Dog Food Extrusion Machine
A pet dog food extrusion machine producing kibble through cooking and expansion under heat and pressure. The mix is worked along the barrel, cooked, and expands as it leaves the die, where it is cut to size.
Expansion determines kibble density, which affects both how the product eats and how the bag looks when filled to its stated weight. Density is controlled through moisture, temperature and screw speed rather than being a fixed property of the machine, which means one extruder can produce quite different products from the same base recipe. Contact us with your product specification and we will advise on the settings and die profile required.
