An extruder machine for fish feed, cooking the ground mix under heat and pressure and forcing it through a die to expand it into a pellet. Extrusion is what makes a pellet float, and it also gelatinises the starch so that the feed is more digestible than a simple pressed pellet.
Floating feed lets the farmer see what is being eaten and stop feeding at the right point, which controls both cost and water quality. Pellet size is set by the die and changed as stock grows. Supplied as a single machine or within a full line. Contact us for the die sizes available.
