Pig skin processing equipment supplied as two machines that work in sequence: a hair burning unit on 1/2 HP, and a depilatory brushing unit on 1 HP that clears the singed bristle from the skin. Burning and brushing are separated for a reason. Singeing alone leaves carbonised bristle on the surface, and brushing alone will not clear coarse hair; running both is what produces skin clean enough for dried pork skin production and for carcass dressing. Both machines are built in stainless steel throughout, and the brushes are imported and specified as safe and sanitary for food contact.
