Food Cashew Pressure Steam Boiler
This pressure steam boiler conditions raw cashew nut ahead of cutting, using indirect pressurised steam heating rather than direct contact, so the nut is softened without taking on water. It is offered in four batch sizes: 80, 160, 320 and 640 kg. Construction is heavy throughout. The steam generator is formed from 10 mm sheet, the cooker from 5 mm, and the chamber from 8 mm mild steel finished in heat resistive paint, sealed against leaks to hold temperature. Working pressure runs to 7 kg. The steamer section is 6 mm plate, rolled and double welded, and takes up to 80 kg of kernel. Safety and handling are specified rather than added on: a built-in pressure gauge, safety valves, an ISI marked gate valve, release valves and a water drainage system. The top cover is thick mild steel plate with a silicone rubber gasket, heavy duty hinges and a locking arrangement, and an ash collecting tray sits beneath the boiler. Electric and non-electric models are available, with 6 kW industrial heaters in single or three phase. Fuel consumption is low for the duty.
