Food Cashew Shelling Machine
Two numbers describe how well a shelling machine is working: how much of the kernel comes out whole, and how much nut passes through without being cut at all and has to be run again. This machine holds up to 98% whole kernel with an uncut ratio of 4%. It shells 40 to 45 kg per hour on a 1 HP motor with gearbox, weighs 160 kg and stands 56 inches high by 42 inches wide, so it fits a standard bench-height line without modification. More than 500 of these machines have been supplied over the past five years in China and abroad. As with all single-station shellers, capacity is increased by adding units rather than by upsizing, which has the side benefit that a blade change on one machine does not stop the line.
