Food Metal Detector
A conveyorised metal detector for food processing, protected to IP65 against dust and water and specified for operation in wet environments. Belt speed is variable from 10 to 60 metres per minute. Sensitivity is set automatically rather than by operator adjustment, which removes the commonest source of failed audits: a detector tuned down to stop nuisance rejects and never tuned back. The unit records an inspection history of up to 100 results, so the check record exists on the machine rather than on paper. Operation is through a 7 inch touch panel. Standard Ethernet input and output allows the detector to be networked over LAN, which is how inspection data reaches a plant quality system without manual transcription. The conveyor belt detaches for cleaning and maintenance, and the overall design is hygienic.
