The machine is sized against the rest of the line, since its throughput sets the rate for the fryer and seasoning drum that follow. Fitting a larger extruder ahead of an unchanged fryer produces no more finished product. Where the whole line is being replaced, sizing the fryer and extruder together is the better route.
