Peanut Kernel Splitting Machine
A peanut kernel splitting machine that splits whole blanched peanut kernels cleanly into their two halves and removes the germ, producing the split peanut used in snack coating, confectionery and bakery.
Splitting is a preparation step for coated and flavoured peanut products, where a split kernel takes coating more evenly and fries more quickly than a whole one. The requirement is a clean split along the natural line rather than a broken kernel, which is a matter of roller gap and kernel moisture. Germ removal is usually part of the same pass because the germ is bitter. The machine runs on blanched kernel. Contact us with your kernel size and daily volume and we will specify the unit.
