Chopping sounds simple but the requirement is narrow: a buyer specifying a particular chop size wants that size and not a spread of dust and large pieces. Controlled chopping comes from blade geometry and feed rate working together, with screening behind the cutter to return oversize and take out fines. Excessive fines are a loss, because they sell for less than the chopped product and in oily nuts they cake. The machine takes both peanut and almond with the appropriate setting.
