Power Generation Transformer
A power generation transformer â the step-up transformer that takes generator output voltage up to transmission or distribution voltage at a power station, wind farm or solar plant.
A generator transformer works under different conditions from a distribution unit, running at or near full load continuously whenever the plant is generating, which makes losses and cooling capacity central to its specification rather than secondary. Voltage ratio is set by the generator on one side and the grid connection on the other, so it is project specific. Contact us with your generator rating, output voltage and grid connection voltage and we will specify the unit.
