Stick length is set by the cutting knife speed rather than the die, so the product can be varied without changing tooling. That flexibility is useful where the same line serves several pack formats. The line is specified around daily output and the number of flavours carried. Cutter speed is adjustable while running, so stick length can be changed between pack formats.
