A puffed floating fish feed machine producing expanded pellets through cooking under heat and pressure. The puffing that occurs as the pellet leaves the die is what makes it buoyant.
Puffing also cooks the starch in the formulation, which raises digestibility so a greater proportion of the feed converts to growth rather than passing through to the pond bottom.
