Results for “Workbench Refrigerator”

A workbench refrigerator — an under-counter refrigerated cabinet with a worktop surface, giving chilled storage directly at the preparation position in a commercial kitchen.

The value of a workbench unit is in the steps it saves. Ingredients are to hand under the board instead of across the kitchen, which during service is the difference between keeping up and falling behind. The worktop has to be specified for the work done on it, and the refrigeration has to cope with a hot kitchen and constant door openings. Saladette versions take gastronorm pans in the top.
